Today, for the first time in what feels like ages, the sun peeped through the clouds in chilly South Sheilds.
And in the park next to the beach, this intrepid sun seeker set up his chair to catch some rays. Though how many he actually caught through his waterproof jacket and blankets, remains to be seen!
This scene just seemed so British to me...you can find similarly attired sunbathers on Shields beach, and probably on beaches all over the UK!
Thankfully he was engrossed in his book, and I used my zoom, so he never realised he was being "captured"!
I suppose it's just so nice to be outside breathing the fresh air that he didn't mind the cold.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing missing is the pebble covered beaches that Pommies seem to flock to, top shot.

sometimes you just get desperate. I was cooped up in the house for days after the blizzard in NYC and started going stir crazy without sunshine and fresh air.
ReplyDeletelol I don't think he is getting an even tan! I have never seen people sunbathing in this type of garment...kinda like a fisherman's tan! :)
ReplyDeleteAt least he doesn't have to worry about his mother warning him of getting too much sun, unless he has my mother, then he would be my brother! Sort of......
ReplyDeleteWhat is with these weird word verifiers? Mine was citensee...Sit and see?
A very modest sunbather indeed! At least he saves on sunscreen. The fresh air mush be worth it though.
ReplyDeleteGuess its all about the vitamin c and d. They will get it any way they can.
ReplyDeleteI admire his courage in braving the cold to snag a few rays.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering about him getting rays. Where? lol
ReplyDeleteIf he were in my area, he'd be wearing shorts while all bundled up like that! HA! Great little sneak shot. ;D
ReplyDeleteFresh air and sunshine for the tip of his nose. Fun image.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot you captured! He looks totally relaxed there in the sun. Have a great day!

Hope he has sun screen on his nose! Another fun image.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the relief he felt at getting out in the fresh air even if he had to bundle against the chill! Fun capture!
